We just started a guild today, about 30 people so far, all of us used the ~5 relocation to bunch up on an island, it got crowded way too fast though so we're looking into relocating again.
Clearly this map is pretty big, and a ton of factors go into determining the value of a location (resources, monsters, most importantly turfs/guilds) so does anyone have some tips for determining a suitable spot?

The best place is where your strongest ally is. Not too close because you don't want to fight eachother over resources and Frostwings/Gryphons.

point of interest are concentrated toward the middle of the map 250x500 , try to stay near the middle for (lv2/3 even 4 resource node), but out of other's way.

90% of the conflict starts in collision of gathering troops,in some case they will straight up  attack your node to take it over.
Usually a fulling active 100 people guild can Clean every node in 20 mi ground around them ,and will seek more nodes up to around 40. [Ruins are about 100mi,which you cant avoid.]
so do the math yourself to see how far you are willing dive toward the middle.

60mi away from a another guild pretty much means that you wont ever come in contact with them. unless they are doing something stupid like packing 4 guilds around a Small area/small wonder.


hive building, you usually want your strongest turf in the middle, so when raid comes in , it takes longer time to reach your top Might player even they Teleported near your hive, and would think twice before attacking the middle core.

(well,only when both guild player have a close Might,If a player have 5x more might than you, he can take all your troops to the hospital without a hassle)

Thanks for the input, I'm looking around but the kingdom is already so crowded, its hard to find even a 20x20 open patch anywhere near the middle.

Prevent from stay too near from main wonder.. :) but try to find at least lvl2 resource.. and make peace with everyone near you

And also when you did settle down wherever may be and your guild is still small and vunerable , try to reach out to some bigger guilds in top 10 perhabs. Send them a proffesional mail about allies and see if they got any interest. They could protect you against those bullies that simply farm anyome for rss :) again a proffesional mail , usually no guild considers something as "hey wanna be allies"
